Deputy Boutique Manager Job Description

At Piaget, we are committed to excellence and innovation in the luxury watchmaking and high jewelry industry. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Boutique Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Co-manage boutique operations and administration, including reporting, retail operations, stock control, health and safety, security, and performance analysis.
  • Monitor sales targets and KPIs, and implement annual action plans in partnership with the Boutique Manager.
  • Provide monthly reporting to the Boutique Manager, including sales, traffic, KPIs, follow-up, missed sales, stock issues, customer service, and discounts.
  • Run analytical reports for the boutique as needed.
  • Behave as an ambassador of the brand inside and outside the boutique.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and handle customer issues with professionalism.
  • Implement an effective data capture and follow-up system for clients, prospects, customer service, and reservations.
Team Co-Management:
  • Co-manage boutique staff and daily control of security guards.
  • Co-lead daily briefings and animate during Boutique Manager absences.
  • Participate in one-to-one meetings with sales staff.
  • Co-evaluate sales staff through the annual PMP process, fix their objectives and KPIs, and make regular assessments.
  • Delegate operational activities and establish clear responsibilities within the team.
  • Co-animate the team with commercial actions, challenges, incentives, and events.
  • Transmit and control relevant documents to the Boutique Manager for individual monthly commissions and incentives.
  • Assist the Boutique Manager in providing training to the team and staff coaching.
Stock Control:
  • Responsible for replenishing stock according to Piaget procedures and policies.
  • Maintain effective stock controls to ensure continued stock supply and good management of the stock.
  • Take responsibility for designated stock categories, maintain high standards, and report any damages.
  • Control the quality of the stock and ensure all pieces are handled with extra care and in perfect selling conditions.
  • Ensure deliveries are processed swiftly and the boutique's entire product assortment is made immediately available and easily accessible to clients.
  • Lead daily and annual stock inventories.
  • Manage in and out stock transfers and follow-up.
  • Responsible for the after-sale procedure and accomplishment of the boutique.
  • Organize a safe and clean stockroom and back office area.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of two to five years of prior management experience and background in luxury activities (retail or service).
  • Foreign languages required (English a must).
  • Computer knowledge in Microsoft; knowledge of SAP is a plus.
  • Shows innovation and initiative, be proactive and pre-empt boutique and team issues.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Successfully able to handle multiple demands and competing priorities in a multinational business.
