Deputy Team Leader, Vendor Management, RVR

Amazon is seeking a seasoned professional to lead its vendor management efforts in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. As a Deputy Team Leader, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, driving business growth, and ensuring seamless integration of their products into Amazon's marketplaces.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join Amazon's Retail business and contribute to its expansion in the MENA region. As a key member of the vendor management team, you will be responsible for:

  1. Developing and executing strategies to recruit and onboard new vendors, ensuring a robust and diverse product portfolio for Amazon's customers.
  2. Managing a team of Mass Vendor Recruiters, providing guidance and support to drive team performance and achieve business objectives.
  3. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and address technical blockers, improving the vendor onboarding process and ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  4. Providing business consulting services to new vendors, offering insights and advice to help them succeed on Amazon's marketplaces.
  5. Conducting analyses to understand vendor performance, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategies to drive business growth.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. 5-7 years of experience in sales, negotiation, account management, or management consulting, with a proven track record of success.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a simple manner.
  3. Strong analytical skills, with experience in data analysis and problem-solving.
  4. Advanced computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  5. Ability to work with a wide range of people at all decision-making levels, with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  6. Bachelor's degree in business administration or economics, with an MBA preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, experience in e-commerce or retail, fluency in Arabic, and knowledge of SQL would be an advantage in this role.
