Job Summary

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled C4I Wireless Communications Engineer to join our team at Dalma Tech2. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for wireless communication systems and subsystems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Technical Support

Provide technical assistance and guidance to management and technicians on wireless communication systems and subsystems.

System Maintenance

Perform intermediate-level installation and maintenance of wireless communication systems, as required.

Preventative Maintenance

Carry out Preventative Maintenance Instructions (PMIs) as required.

Documentation

Properly document maintenance activities, including PMIs, Job Control Documents (JCDs), and configuration changes.

Training and Development

Develop and deliver training materials for On-the-Job training and conduct training as required.

Research and Development

Stay up-to-date with emerging C4ISR wireless technologies, research, and user trends.

Technology Evaluation

Evaluate new wireless communication technologies for application in a security environment.

Additional Responsibilities

Perform other tasks assigned by management within the scope of the role.

Requirements
  1. Qualifications

A minimum of a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering is required. Specialized training and certification in at least one wireless communication system is also required.

Experience

A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the field of TETRA communications is required.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in the use of desktop computer software packages, particularly MS Office, is required.

Knowledge and Skills

Full understanding of wireless radios, including HF, VHF, UHF, and SHF communications, as well as associated multiplexing and terminal equipment.

System Knowledge

Full understanding of TETRA uplink, downlink, RF, Multiplex, Modems, Antenna Tracking system, and other equipment in use in a TETRA system.

Training and Development

Experience in producing training material and providing On-the-Job training in the maintenance and operation of wireless communication systems.
