It will help shape the Saudi maritime industry as one of the largest, most advanced and sustainable maritime facilities in the MENA region, with global ambitions and reach.
We are seeking a Marine Hands Senior Assistant to be responsible for providing comprehensive support and assistance to marine operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of various tasks, projects, and administrative processes. This role requires a strong understanding of marine procedures and industry-specific knowledge.
**- Ensure safe and environmentally friendly use of equipment and tools according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Report any safety or environmental concerns promptly.
- Complete work assignments safely, efficiently, and within designated timeframes.
- Report job progress and any delays to line management as required.
- Adhere to company procedures and policies.
- Follow general QSHE rules and best practices.
- Report equipment failures or non-conformities that pose hazards or cause job delays.
- Comply with training in safe manual handling, mooring line practices, confined spaces entry, working at height, and other marine operation courses and certifications.
- Ensure a smooth handover of job assignments to colleagues at the end of shifts.
- Coordinate effectively with Asset Management to support maintenance activities for Marine Operations Assets.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in workshops and stores.
- Lead a group of marine hands in various tasks, including reconditioning of marine assets, preservation work, mooring and unmooring operations, docking and undocking, loadout and floating off, ship lift and transfer operations, shifting/rigging of marine assets, and installation of gangways and access towers.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for Marine assets and tools, including docking stools/blocks, mooring ropes, FRC, pneumatic fenders, etc.
**Job Requirements**:
- Diploma degree or equivalent qualification.
- 6-11 years of navigation experience on vessels/OSV/Tugs, within Oil and Gas Offshore operations, or in Shipyard/Ship Repair Industry.
- Third party Certification of rigging level 1.
- STCW Basic Safety Training preferably.
- Proper basic computer skills (Word/Excel).
- Ability to read & and write computer-generated service task sheet.
- Proper awareness of on site basic HSE and emergency response requirements.
- Solid supervision and leadership skills.
- Confined space training.
- Awareness of mooring lines handling.
- Safe manual handling techniques.
- Radio communication.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in the English Language.
