**Job Summary***:Head of Smart City Technology and IoT **_(inc Erp & IT)_
The Head of Smart City Technology and IoT is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of smart city technology initiatives and Internet of Things (IoT) projects. This position plays a crucial role in driving innovation, enhancing city infrastructure, and improving quality of life for guests through the integration of cutting-edge technologies.

**Experience Required**
You will have worked for a major real estate developer, hospitality operator or technology company/consultancy shaping the technology for the most advanced and sustainable cities of future.

**Key Responsibilities**
**Strategic Planning and Leadership**
- Develop and implement a comprehensive smart city technology strategy aligned with the city's vision and goals
- Provide visionary leadership to drive innovation and transformation in city services and infrastructure.

**Project Management and Implementation**
- Oversee planning, execution, and monitoring of smart city projects, ensuring alignment with established objectives and timelines
- Collaborate with internal departments, external partners, and stakeholders to facilitate project implementation and integration of IoT solutions

**Technology Evaluation and Adoption**
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies and IoT solutions relevant to smart city initiatives
- Identify opportunities for technology adoption and innovation to address urban challenges and improve city services

**Data Management and Analytics**
- Develop data management strategies to collect, analyze, and leverage data generated by IoT devices and smart city systems
- Utilize data analytics and insights to optimize city operations, enhance decision-making, and improve service delivery.

**Partnership and Stakeholder Engagement**
- Cultivate strategic partnerships with technology vendors, research institutions, government agencies, and community organizations
- Collaborate with stakeholders to foster a supportive ecosystem for smart city initiatives and ensure alignment with community needs.

**ERP & IT Infrastructure**
- Implement robust ERP systems that are futureproof and fit for purpose.
- Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and standards to safeguard sensitive information collected by smart city systems.

**Education**
- Engage with stakeholder and colleague to raise awareness and promote understanding of smart city initiatives
- Provide educational resources in shaping the future of the city.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- Proven experience (10+ years) in technology leadership roles, with a focus on smart city initiatives and IoT projects
- Strong understanding of urban planning principles, city governance, and public administration
- Expertise in project management methodologies, technology evaluation, and data analytics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, privacy regulations, and compliance standards related to IoT and smart city deployments
