Manager, Perfusion Services

**Essential Responsibilities and Duties**:
1. Responsible for the overall quality of patient care including the nature and scope of clinical services provided

2. Responsible for the efficient and cost effective operation of the Perfusion Section within the allocated resources in accordance with outcome performance measurement programs and evaluation mechanisms.

5. Develops implements and revises Perfusion Policy and Procedures. Ensures that the perfusion quality assure program meets and /or exceeds JCIA standards and /or any other applicable standards are required.

6. Manages the quality and competency of the Perfusion staff through effective use of ongoing educational workshops, Clinical Pathways skill based and QI reviews.

7. Maintains operational statistics and provide reports as may be required by the Medical Director, Perfusion Services and the Director, Heart Centre

9. Plans staffing patterns and schedules based on patient needs ensuring adequate coverage for the provision of required services within the budget allocation.

**Education**:
Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Allied Health Science, or other related discipline is required

**Experience Required**:
Grade 11:Five (5) years of related experience with Master’s, or seven (7) years with Bachelor’s Degree, including two (2) years in a seniority position is required.

Grade 12:Seven (7) years of related experience with Master’s, or nine (9) years with Bachelor’s Degree, including four (4) years of (Grade 11) experience is required.

**Other Requirements(Certificates)**:
Certified by an accredited Perfusion Training Program.
