**Responsibilities**:

- Works with team to ensure understanding of sales strategy and effective implementation of the strategy by market segment.
- Work closely with the Director of Commercial Strategy to ensure understanding & alignment of government segment sales strategy and effective implementation of this strategy.
- Ensures to meet and exceed budgeted goals from Government segment for both transient and group.
- Prepares and implements a robust Action Plan for Government accounts
- Schedule weekly government new account visits for General Manager
- Schedule bi-weekly Ministry visits to accounts of Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Entertainment, Diriyah Gate Development Authority as example
- Introduce GM to Senior leaders of Mega Projects, Ministries and Authorities.
- Responsible for the account management of key and prospect government accounts.
- Attend relevant meeting with Executive Director of Government Affairs prior to the guests arrival to ensure that all the details of the guests requirements are established, recorded and can be delivered by an internal or an external source. Ensuring that a can do approve is use to fulfil the VIP’s stated and unstated needs.
- Handle the billing with Executive Director of Government Affairs for all diplomatic delegations, making sure that the following are established:

- Billing Instructions/payment
- Payment terms and guarantee
- Guest preferences and special requirements.
- Keeps up to date with progress of all projects in the city to ensure capture of all potential business.
- Analyzes team performance to ensure financial targets are met.
- Assists with the development of the team through training and coaching the team.
- Maintains accurate records of training of the team, development needs and progress.
- Forecasts account revenue production of all revenue streams with the team.
- Ensures understanding of all the team’s financial targets and trains where required.
- Reviews sales and catering guest satisfaction results to identify areas of improvement.
- Attends customer events, trade shows and sales missions to maintain, build and develop key relationships as required by DOCS.
- Cross sells brand across MOHG portfolio through Mobilize programme and ensures Sales Team cross sells at all times.
- Ensure all relevant contacts are updated on Delphi.
- Ensures the smooth running of the department along with the Director of Business Development & Director of Commercial Strategy.
- Ensures coverage of department and monitors changes required to office times.
- Ensures that all calls and sales leads are answered in a timely manner and as per company standards.
- Promotes harmony and teamwork within department as well as with all other departments.
- Supports customer loyalty and property’s brand standards by delivering service excellence.
- Carries out site visits as per company standards.
- Services customers in order to grow share of the account.
- Provides excellent customer service consistently.
- Executes exemplary customer service to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty by assisting the customer and ensuring their satisfaction before and during their stay/program/event.
- Sets a positive example for the team.
- Tabulates all sales related activities, leading by example.
- Monitors team and ensures that team plans and records all sales related activities.
- Participates in Sales weekly meetings to track performance and monitor effectiveness of strategies.
- Keeps up to date with market trends and utilizes all Business Intelligence reports available.
- Attends weekly Revenue Meetings with recommendations and updates.
