**ROLE OVERVIEW**:
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Commercial Director** **will be part of the local Executive Committee and play an integral part in shaping and driving the network’s strategy definition and negotiations.

He / she will build the Retail and Watch specialist part of the market’s strategic and 3-year plans, manage sales programmes and set mid and long-term sales strategies in line with the Maison’s strategy.

The Commercial Director will also build on the Maison’s local initiatives across Retail, Specialist Retail, Prestige, and e-Commerce.

**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Strategy**
- In collaboration with the Managing Director, build the commercial part of the market’s strategic and 3-year-plans
- Build a structure adapted to the needs of the market
- Contribute to the Network Development strategy to leverage relevant business opportunities across the market:

- Provide info and insights from the market on Real Estate developments, competition and industry trends
- Participate in the identification, assessment and follow up of network projects Boutique openings, closings, renovations)
- Co-lead the Boutique briefs to define a relevant singularity to each Boutique, taking into account its specific environment, its clientele and the overall network consistency
- Contribute to the branding plan by developing ideas for fresh communications and public relations programs to elevate the brand perception amongst existing and new potential clients, while creating a consistent brand message across channels
- Act as a local expert by developing a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, surrounding community and important events, trends, etc.

**Commercial performance**:

- Set realistic and ambitious sales targets
- Analyse the market’s KPIs and identify priority actions to achieve targets and business growth
- Monitor the network’s P&L (Boutiques’ profitability)
- Support the regional merchandising team by communicating the opportunities and needs of the Cartier brand in the market.

**Network Performance Management**
- Retail:

- Ensure that retail sales targets are achieved In line with the Maison’s and the market’s global strategy, and under the supervision of the market’s General Management, participate to the network strategy
- Set Boutique sales targets after consultation of other local departments (Marketing, Communications, PR, etc.)
- Analyze market KPIs and identifies priority actions to achieve targets and business growth
- Approve the priority actions and their feasibility of each Boutique’s Commercial Action Plan
- Ensure the monitoring and follow up of the Boutiques’ Commercial Action Plans
- Watch Specialists:

- Research performance metrics specific to the specialist’s channel: sell-out, market share, sell-in vs budget commitment
- Anticipate and sort all legal issues with the assistance of Richemont legal team: distribution contracts, respect of anti-trust laws, grey market control
- Boutique and POS Operations Excellence:

- Guarantee the highest standards of operations (Client Service, Boutique Maintenance, etc.)
- Implement of the central policies and procedures correctly, adapt to local law where required
- Ensure compliance with and clear understanding of Maison standards in terms of client experience across the networks
- Support the implementation of dedicated tools to drive Operations and drive Boutique/ POS productivity.

**Talent management & development**
- Develop, retain, and attract a high-performing team in office and Boutiques
- Share vision, strategy, and values of the Maison to engage and motivate all teams around them
- Foster teamwork and creative culture
- Animate your teams daily and follow-up closely on projects and objectives
- Actively participate in succession planning for all commercial teams

**Client strategy & development**
- Contribute to the overall Client strategy by infusing client-centric mindset amongst all the Commercial teams with the priority objective of improving client satisfaction, loyalty & recruitment
- In coordination with the Client Department, ensure development of relevant Boutique clienteling initiatives, CRM capabilities and implementation of client portfolio management across all the network
- Ensure that the Maison’s standards in terms of client experience (Satisfaction Barometer and Mystery Shopping results) are respected and known throughout the network
