Automotive Category Director

As a Senior Vendor Manager for the Automotive Category, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth, building strategic partnerships, and managing vendor relationships to achieve business objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in account management, project or program management, or buying experience, with a proven track record of driving internal cross-team collaboration and using data to influence business decisions.
You will be responsible for:
- Driving Sales Growth: Supporting the Category leader to drive new strategic initiatives and business opportunities for the organization.
- Building Vendor Relationships: Building strategic partnerships, aligning and closing end-to-end vendor relationships and terms of trade, operating model contracts.
- Managing Product Portfolio: Building the annual portfolio to drive continuous traffic and engagement to the store-front.
- Improving Operational Efficiency: Identifying automation opportunities to offer scalable solutions, improving all key input metrics such as Selection, profitability, Pricing, Availability.
- Leading Performance Management: Owning the P&L for hitting top and bottom-line targets and driving projects to improve profitability with critical stakeholders (Vendor, Ops, Advertising).
- Negotiating Deals: Sourcing deals during Tier 1 & Tier 2 events to ensure we continue to offer value to our Prime Customers.
- Ensuring Content Quality: Ensuring content quality is best in class to improve conversion.
- Negotiating Marketing Funds: Negotiating marketing funds from vendors for category visibility during BAU/Events.
- Preparing Business Plans: Preparing, pitching & closing Annual JBP with vendors.
- Reviewing Vendor Performance: Conducting MBR / QBR with vendors on performance & improvement.
