Global Sales Director for XCMG Truck

About the Role
Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group Imp. & Exp co., Ltd is seeking an experienced and skilled Global Sales Director to lead our sales efforts for XCMG Truck & Tractor products.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive business growth and increase market share.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
- Set and achieve sales targets, manage sales forecasts, and provide regular reporting to upper management.
Sales Strategy & Planning
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a sales strategy that drives business growth and increases market share.
- This includes identifying new business opportunities through market analysis and competitor research.
- Developing and implementing sales plans to achieve targeted results.
Client Relationship Management
A key aspect of this role is building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, contractors, logistics teams, and government agencies.
- This involves conducting regular meetings and site visits to assess client needs and provide product demonstrations.
- Collaborating with the after-sales team to provide ongoing support and resolve any issues related to product performance.
Product Knowledge & Expertise
The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of XCMG Truck & Tractor products, including features, advantages, and applications.
- This includes providing technical advice and recommendations to clients on equipment selection, usage, and maintenance.
- Staying up-to-date with industry advancements, new product launches, and technological improvements.
Sales Operations
This role involves managing the entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals, including contract negotiation, pricing, and payment terms.
- This includes preparing and presenting detailed proposals and quotations tailored to the customer's specific project requirements.
- Monitoring and reporting on sales performance to ensure sales goals and KPIs are consistently met.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
The successful candidate will lead and mentor a team of sales executives or representatives, ensuring they have the necessary product knowledge and sales skills.
- This includes collaborating with the marketing department to design promotional campaigns and events for XCMG Truck & Tractor products.
- Working closely with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and availability of machinery.
Market Research & Competitor Analysis
This role involves continuously monitoring the truck market, including customer needs, industry regulations, and emerging technologies.
- This includes analysing competitor offerings, pricing strategies, and market positioning to adjust sales tactics accordingly.
Reporting & Documentation
The successful candidate will prepare monthly and quarterly sales reports detailing performance metrics, customer feedback, and market insights.
- This includes maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer records in the CRM system.
- Working closely with internal departments to ensure seamless coordination.
Requirements
- Achievement of quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Number of new clients and contracts secured.
- Customer satisfaction ratings and feedback.
- Sales pipeline management and conversion rates.
- Market share growth within the assigned territory.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Analytical skills to understand market trends and sales data.
- Bachelor's degree or above in Business, Sales, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in sales, preferably within the construction or logistics industry.
- Strong understanding of truck (Tractor, dump truck, light truck, etc.) and their applications in market.
