Job Overview

Turner & Townsend is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our dynamic and diverse Cost Management Team. As a key member of our Infrastructure and Real Estate team, you will have the opportunity to build on a strong foundation and take our operations to the next level of maturity.

The successful candidate will have leadership responsibilities for the cost management discipline, ensuring the quality of existing projects and serving as a career developer and mentor to their team. We are looking for an agile, emotionally intelligent leader with a strong technical delivery history and international experience.

The ideal candidate will be a cost management generalist, covering estimating, cost, scheduling, risk, change, performance measurement, and reporting. They will have excellent communication skills and be a strong influencer, comfortable presenting to large groups and senior-level clients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the Turner & Townsend Cost Management Team and serve as the principal point of contact for cost management matters.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to drive high performance and growth within the team.
  3. Take on key account roles, project execution assurance, and maintain client relationships.
  4. Deliver assurance services to projects, including peer review, gateway review, maturity assessments, readiness reviews, and progress and performance audits.
  5. Periodically take on major program delivery roles and lead the Turner & Townsend team on the commission.
  6. Provide oversight and assurance to the Turner & Townsend major program in the region.
  7. Identify organizational needs, build recruitment plans, and develop role specifications.
  8. Develop and implement marketing and business development strategies to drive growth and revenue.
  9. Collaborate with project team leaders on project negotiations and execution.
  10. Deliver high-quality services by utilizing Turner & Townsend systems, policies, and procedures.
  11. Demonstrate understanding of commercial business drivers and ensure that work and projects are carried out in alignment.
  12. Contribute to the development of business opportunities and identify areas for improvement.
  13. Take responsibility for business unit performance and project profitability.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 18+ years of relevant working experience in cost management.
  2. Degree holder in Quantity Surveying or related field (Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.).
  3. RICS qualified (MRICS) FRICS (Beneficial).
  4. Proactive, quality-driven, self-motivated, and hands-on team leader with the ability to multitask.
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills essential, ability to communicate well with clients and senior management.
  6. Experience in leading teams of professionals with a strength in growing and developing people.
