Your Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  1. Reviewing and assisting the cost consultant on the preparation of contract documents, warranties, bonds, and licenses, and assisting in the formal execution by the appropriate parties.
  2. Advising on the administration of the terms of the building contract.
  3. Reviewing measurements and valuations of work carried out by the cost consultant and adjusting variations in accordance with the terms of the contract and agreeing with the contractor.
  4. Implementing project cost control and reporting procedures.
  5. Identifying all costs associated with design changes, contract awards, construction activities, and client charges.
  6. Assisting in the evaluation of claims for damages, delays, and additional costs made by the contractor and any nominated subcontractors/suppliers.
  7. Advising on the issuance of taking over certificates and ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed, and any requirements relating to completion, document submissions, and approvals are accomplished.
  8. Advising on the issuance of performance certificates and ensuring defects are rectified in accordance with the final completion.

Qualifications

You will need to have a relevant bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and a strong understanding of commercial management principles.
