About the Company:

Greg O'Hanlon International Ltd is a leading dairy company in the Middle East, seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join their team.

Opportunity Overview:

The COO will report directly to the General Manager and be responsible for providing strategic leadership to key functional departments, including Herd Management, Supply Chain Optimization, Process Plant Operations, Project Management, Quality Assurance, Research and Development, Maintenance, and Support Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and present comprehensive strategic and annual business plans.
  • Create annual operating plans that align with the company's strategic direction.
  • Collaborate closely with Directors and Department Managers to drive business growth.
  • Manage operational expenses (OPEX) and capital expenditures (CAPEX) budgets, ensuring regular progress reporting against business plans.
  • Lead and manage day-to-day operations of functional departments, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Drive business improvements through process optimization, technology adoption, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Oversee risk management and ensure compliance with regional regulatory requirements.
  • Consolidate business units into a cohesive and productive organization, promoting a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
  • Implement cost-saving measures through people, process, and technology optimization.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to company management, driving change and innovation.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering; an MBA is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in the FMCG industry, with at least 10 years in a senior managerial role.
  • Preferred experience in the dairy/juice industries and familiarity with the GCC region.
  • Expertise in project management and ERP/business applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of the latest dairy technologies.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and decisive judgment.
  • Proven ability to manage key performance indicators (KPIs) and profit and loss (P&L) statements.
  • Effective negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Innovative approach to business improvements.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written); Arabic is a definite advantage.
