About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Supply Chain Management Specialist to join our team at Hitachi Vantara Corporation. As a key member of our High Voltage business, you will be responsible for purchasing materials and ensuring that our purchasing activities align with corporate policies and procedures.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Purchasing and Procurement
    • Identify new suppliers and qualify them in cooperation with our category team and supplier quality specialists.
    • Negotiate agreements with main suppliers and periodically review and renew pricelists, terms, and conditions.
    • Adapt our corporate contractual framework to meet the needs of our local business.
  • Supply Chain Management
    • Analyze and evaluate bids to determine the optimal value.
    • Support our bid and proposal teams by providing relevant market information.
    • Track goods received to verify delivery and ensure invoice processing.
  • Supplier Performance Management
    • Oversee supplier performance, including on-time delivery, quality, and lead time.
    • Resolve performance issues and ensure that our suppliers meet our expectations.
  • Procurement and Logistics
    • Initiate purchase orders in our system and confirm delivery with suppliers.
    • Monitor and track supplier performance to purchase order requirements.
    • Align supplier orders with customer requirements, including content, quality, delivery, sustainability, and price.
  • Compliance and Governance
    • Ensure that all procurement and logistics activities are conducted in accordance with our policies and procedures.
    • Keep our Pro-Supply global supplier relationship management platform updated as defined in our Pro-Supply procedure.

Your Background

  • A bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in managing supply chain activities in the power, energy, or manufacturing industry.
  • Hands-on experience in SAP/MM module.
  • Experience in MS Office suite.
  • Proven knowledge in P2P process and system.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Arabic language is required.
