About the Role

You will be part of Hitachi ABB Power Grids' High Voltage Business based in Saudi Arabia. As a GIS Technical Advisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful installation, repair, and maintenance of high voltage systems worldwide.

You will represent Hitachi ABB Power Grids in general and the High Voltage Business specifically in dealings with clients at installation sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Install work entrusted to you in perfect technical order.
  2. Carry out installation and maintenance work independently.
  3. Ensure compliance with installation requirements and instructions, and observe necessary accident prevention measures.
  4. Red-mark drawings or documents with any changes or modifications that become necessary during installation.
  5. Advise sub-suppliers' installation superintendents on planning and coordination of work force necessary to comply with schedules.
  6. Cooperate with Hitachi ABB Power Grids Project Managers on establishing status of completed and non-completed work.
  7. Inspect arriving material for completeness and possible damage, and coordinate material handling in cooperation with sub-suppliers' Material Control.
  8. Issue non-conformance reports for damage or missing equipment within Hitachi ABB Power Grids' scope of supply.
  9. Supervise final installation tests and Hitachi ABB Power Grids installation completion documentation.
  10. Supervise and coordinate loop check activities and participate in site meetings as requested by Hitachi ABB Power Grids Project Managers.
  11. Ensure the competent execution of your tasks.
  12. Carry out any tasks assigned by management necessary to fulfill job requirements.

As a GIS Technical Advisor, you will be expected to live Hitachi ABB Power Grids' core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your Background:
  1. A bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a high diploma.
  2. Minimum 8+ years of working experience with GIS, preferably.
  3. Experience with SF6 gas-handling.
  4. Knowledge of HE-CH GIS products, preferably.
  5. Proficiency in both spoken and written English language is required.
