Job Summary:

Asterix Communications is seeking a highly skilled Cost Control Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for preparing project budget and cost control reports, understanding project estimates, and providing necessary cost and budget information to our Project Directors and Finance Controller.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide cost controlling support for projects, including variation reporting, monitoring of milestone progress, and preparation of customer billing processes.
  • Assist in the cost control function on projects, implementing policies and guidelines to establish appropriate cost control practices for the company.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and compliant estimates, budgets for projects, and maintain project cost and work, fund management & reporting.
  • Follow up cost control procedures and cost breakdowns for follow-up and control.
  • Follow up of all contractual issues and monitor their cost impact.
  • Monitor progress for the purpose of payment certificates preparation, record running costs, compare to budget.
  • Project cost control and accounting.
  • Coordinate and work with the project management team and supply chain department to resolve project issues to ensure the delivery/completion of the project work.
  • Assist in controlling and monitoring project total expenditure, including verifying and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded.
  • Coordinate and work with the project management team, in particular with the Project Control Manager, to resolve project issues to ensure the delivery/completion of the project work.

Requirements:

  • Must be a Saudi Fresh graduate with an Engineering Degree, Industrial or Organizational preferred.
  • Understanding of project management tools and techniques.
  • Ability to effectively monitor and analyze costs, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
