About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Installation & Commissioning Supervisor to join our team at Hitachi Vantara Corporation in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our business, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful installation, repair, and fault elimination of switching systems worldwide.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Support the installation and commissioning work entrusted to you, ensuring it is carried out in perfect technical order.
- Carry out installation and maintenance work independently, adhering to strict quality and safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with installation requirements and instructions, and observe necessary accident prevention measures.
- Responsible for red-marking drawings or documents with any changes or modifications necessary during installation.
- Advise sub-suppliers' installation superintendents on planning and coordination of workforces to meet schedules.
- Cooperate with PG Project Managers to establish the status of completed and non-completed work.
- Inspect arriving materials for completeness and possible damage, and coordinate material handling with sub-suppliers' Material Control.
- Issue non-conformance reports for damage or missing equipment within PG's scope of supply, in cooperation with PG Project Managers.
- Supervise final installation and commissioning tests, and PG installation completion documentation.
- Responsible for the competent execution of your tasks.
- Carry out any tasks assigned by management necessary to fulfill job requirements.
- Embody Hitachi Vantara's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your actions while caring for colleagues and the business.
Your Background
- A bachelor's degree or higher diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- 4-8 years of experience with GIS Installation & Commissioning, preferably with SF6 GAS-Handling experience.
- Strong knowledge of PGHV-CH GIS products is preferred.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English language is required.
