We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager for our Seafood Category. In this role, you will play a vital part in our procurement strategy, ensuring the sourcing of external goods and services that meet our quality, cost, and efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement effective procurement strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Negotiation and Relationship Building: Negotiate optimal value from suppliers and build strong relationships to drive performance improvements.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a high-performing procurement team that drives business results.
  • Sourcing and Procurement: Oversee the sourcing and procurement of external goods and services.
  • Operations Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of the procurement function.

Requirements:

  • Degree Requirements: Possess a Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
  • Leadership Experience: At least 5 years of supervisory experience in procurement, managing diverse supply needs and leading a team of at least two.
  • Track Record: Proven track record in price reduction, supplier evaluation, and development.
  • Purchasing System Expertise: Experience with purchasing systems (SAP/BaaN/Oracle/JD Edwards, etc.).
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the seafood industry and global agricultural markets.
