Job Overview

The Qiddiya Investment Company is embarking on a monumental project under Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 initiative, aiming to establish a world-class entertainment, cultural and lifestyle destination. As a flagship gigaproject, the operation entails vast procurement of goods & services across numerous categories.

The Associate Director will play a pivotal role in developing and executing an overarching category procurement strategy for the "Corporate Services" categories, ensuring alignment with the gigaproject's strategic goals. This category encompasses procurement of goods & services across administration and facilities management, HR, and legal. The successful candidate will streamline the category procurement process, aligning it with business objectives and ensuring procurement excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Category Strategy Development
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy for the category, focusing on supply security, speed, quality, cost optimization, ESG, and innovation.
  • Analyze the category in detail, identifying key products/services, stakeholders, and demand patterns.
  • Conduct market analyses to study suppliers, pricing, seasonality/volatility of supply, emerging trends, regulations, supply chain risks, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Evaluate suppliers based on factors such as offerings, capacity, technical capabilities, prices, local presence, track record, quality, post-sales support, and financials.
  • Drive full value enablement to extract maximum value from procurement spend via commercial and non-commercial levers.
  • Cross-functionally drive implementation of the category strategy via well-defined initiatives and collaboration.
  • Support procurement operations by handling operational procurement and driving end-to-end packages to completion.
Internal Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Engage cross-functional stakeholders across Corporate Procurement Team and Corporate Functions for category strategy formulation.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for category-related matters for Corporate Procurement and Corporate Function stakeholders.
  • Perform Category Management role in complete alignment with the Director of Corporate Procurement Team.
Supplier Management
  • Manage relationships with critical suppliers, ensuring alignment with gigaproject's strategic goals.
  • Negotiate and establish long-term strategic agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure adherence to quality and delivery standards.
  • Foster supplier satisfaction by collecting feedback and driving improvements where necessary.
  • Support localization efforts and compliance with Local Content and Government Procurement Authority requirements.
Category Procurement Excellence
  • Pursue cross-functional satisfaction on category-related matters.
  • Provide visibility to Corporate Procurement and IT Function teams on leveraging strategic supplier agreements.
  • Conduct regular market engagement to ensure strong presence and branding in the category market.
  • Track and report on category performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
