About the Role

MBC Group is seeking a seasoned Program Manager to oversee the development of new initiatives for its TV platforms. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining project plans, evaluating resource availability, anticipating bottlenecks, and providing management escalation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coach and Develop Team Members: Provide guidance and mentorship to cross-functional team members in program and project management best practices.
  • Ensure Project Delivery: Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Lead and Escalate: Guide, lead, escalate, and clear impediments blocking progress toward team goals.
  • Manage Dependencies: Identify and manage dependencies, interactions, and deliverables within and across multiple teams.
  • Operational Excellence: Work with the Project / Delivery Managers to build and scale operational best practices to align multiple teams and individuals with the company's overall objectives and priorities.
  • Risk Management: Anticipate Operational risks and work out identification, tracking, assessment, and mitigation strategies.
  • Business Partnership: Work with business stakeholders and with multiple Tech stakeholders to address business concerns, launch projects, track deliverables to business, and work towards the overall technical, operation, and process stability across tech platforms.
  • Project Prioritization: Work closely with business planning to undertake detailed cost-benefit-analysis (CBA) for prioritization and reprioritization of projects.
Requirements
  • Education: Holder of a degree from a highly reputed University, preferably in Computer Science.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product delivery or a relevant domain area.
  • Methodologies: Fluency in AGILE project methodologies is a must.
  • Tools: Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of managing large-scale delivery teams.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, excellent project management and organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Desirable: Experience with software or an online product is highly desired. Previous experience of delivering Video on Demand / VOD related technology projects would be a distinct advantage.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of streaming media and the related technologies such as digital rights management, content delivery networks among others.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong team player, able to develop strong working relationships and good organizational awareness, strong analytical, organizational, problem solving and communication skills- verbal and written, ability to work independently in a change driven environment, ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure.
