Events Officer

In this role, you'll be at the center of exciting initiatives like trade shows, exhibitions, product launches, and corporate events. You'll collaborate closely with various teams to ensure alignment with our vision and brand.
From coordinating with airports and local authorities, to managing event timelines and media activities, you'll have your hands-full with all aspects of event management.
But it doesn't stop there You'll help shape our event strategy for the next few years, manage budgets, and find creative ways to measure success.
Excelling in this role will require you to constantly think outside the box, looking for ways to improve processes and make sure every event is bigger and better than the last. The goal? Deliver unforgettable experiences for everyone involved

Event Planning and Strategy
Develop event concepts and themes in line with the goals and objectives of the organization.
Research, plan, and organize events such as conferences, meetings, trade shows, seminars, workshops, corporate events, and social gatherings.
Coordinate with stakeholders to understand the purpose of the event, the target audience, and the expected outcomes.
Create event timelines and schedules to ensure all logistics and preparations are completed on time.
Budget Management
Prepare and manage event budgets, ensuring that all expenses are accounted for and that the event stays within financial limits.
Negotiate with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to get the best deals on venues, catering, entertainment, and other event-related services.
Track and report expenses, providing updates to management or clients as needed.
Vendor and Supplier Coordination
Source and negotiate with vendors, such as caterers, AV technicians, decorators, and event equipment suppliers.
Ensure contracts are signed with vendors and that they meet quality standards, timelines, and budget.
Coordinate delivery and setup of event materials, equipment, and décor.
Degree qualified, you possess a minimum 2 years of experience in event marketing or a similar area, with a proven ability to deliver successful events.
You'll need to be highly organized, juggling multiple projects at once, and have a strategic mindset for making big-picture decisions. Creativity is a must as you'll be tasked with developing fresh, exciting ideas to make our events stand out.

Negotiation Skills: Capable of negotiating with vendors and suppliers to get the best deals within budget.
Project Management: Familiarity with project management tools and techniques to track progress and keep events on schedule.
Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of event technology, such as audio-visual systems, registration platforms, and online event tools.
