Assistant Executive Housekeeper

Managing, coaching, and developing a team dedicated to exceptional housekeeping and laundry standards
Maintaining and ordering supplies and equipment – while minimising waste – in support of our green initiatives
Helping to refine and prepare budgets that help us maximise profitability
Addressing special requests for guests, VIPs, repeat visitors and VIP Club members
Assisting with deep cleaning projects and occasionally assisting your team during busy periods
Educating all team members on the importance of remaining compliant with federal, state, and local laws and safety standards
Assisting with Management of Housekeeping Operations
Supervise Housekeeping Staff: Assist in overseeing housekeeping teams to ensure the smooth operation of cleaning activities in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
Maintain Cleanliness Standards: Ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and adherence to hygiene and safety standards across the property.
Staff Scheduling: Assist with creating and managing work schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels for peak and off-peak times.
Guest Room Inspections: Conduct inspections of guest rooms and common areas to ensure they meet the hotel's quality and cleanliness standards.
Report Issues: Address and resolve any issues related to cleanliness, maintenance, or guest complaints, escalating when necessary.
Inventory and Supply Management
Maintain Stock Levels: Help monitor and manage inventories of cleaning supplies, linens, and other housekeeping materials. Ensure stock levels are maintained and restocked as needed.
Order Supplies: Assist in placing orders for housekeeping supplies, ensuring cost control and adherence to budgetary constraints.
Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance of housekeeping equipment, ensuring it is clean, in working order, and safely used by staff.
Staff Training and Development
On-the-Job Training: Train new housekeeping staff in cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
Performance Reviews: Assist in conducting performance evaluations for housekeeping staff, providing feedback and coaching to improve individual performance.
Maintain Staff Morale: Foster a positive and productive work environment by maintaining staff motivation and ensuring fair treatment and recognition.
Excellent communication and strong interpersonal strong skills
Business language and tools acumen
Bachelor's Degree/higher education qualification/equivalent in hospitality or related field
3+ years total experience in a catering setting or related field
Direct supervisory experience over a sales/catering team, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Must speak local language(s)
Position may have additional qualifications per brand standard
Guest Interaction and Satisfaction
Guest Requests: Handle guest requests related to housekeeping needs, such as additional amenities or special cleaning requests.
Complaint Resolution: Address any complaints or issues guests may have regarding the cleanliness of their rooms or the hotel's public areas, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution.
Ensure Guest Comfort: Ensure that guest rooms are comfortable, well-maintained, and reflect the hotel's standards for cleanliness and quality.
Safety and Compliance
Health and Safety Standards: Ensure compliance with local and international health, safety, and sanitation standards. Promote safe working practices within the housekeeping team.
Ensure Compliance with Regulations: Ensure all housekeeping activities comply with hotel policies and legal requirements, including environmental regulations.
Emergency Protocols: Be familiar with emergency protocols, such as fire safety and evacuation plans, and ensure that the housekeeping team is trained in these areas.
