Sales and Business Development Lead

Octopus Digital is seeking a Business Development Lead. As a business development leader for the KSA market, you will work directly with the sales leadership & pre-sales support teams to develop value for prospective customers by understanding & articulating the business problems to solve through Digital Transformation Solutions offered by ODL.
You will be required to leverage your abilities to align with customers to identify opportunities associated with IIOT, digitalization & digital transformation initiatives in alignment with customer objectives to improve process, production, and operations visibility for data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop KSA as a market for Octopus Digital's offerings.
- Execute business development strategies for digital transformation initiatives.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, build & grow accounts, generating recurring revenue.
- Adopt and lead the company's digital technology platforms for building services offerings and digitalization value propositions to serve customer needs.
- Develop the market in the area of prime responsibility (APR) – maintain an opportunity pipeline to meet quarterly, half-yearly, and annual sales targets.
- Regularly report sales forecasts to Channel Management teams and ensure Objective & Key Responsibilities (OKRs) are met at all times.
- Learn & report customer expectations to drive customer success teams for improving user experience and engagement to ensure customer retention.
- Conceive proof-of-concept initiatives.
- Demonstrate commanding capability to present and communicate with customers for platform and services.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge to engage and inspire both technical and non-technical audiences to gain trust and become a dependable partner in customers' journey and digitalization goals.
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in business development of digital transformation solutions for manufacturing industries.
- Proven track record in driving business growth through innovation.
- Experience in multiple industries (e.g., FMCG, F&B, manufacturing).
- Strong knowledge in industrial controls & digital transformation technologies (Cloud, AI, IoT, etc.).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Fluency in Arabic.
- Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
- Strong knowledge, network, and relationships within the local industry.
- BS Degree (in Engineering) in a related field preferred and a minimum of 3+ years of prior relevant work experience.
