**The Opportunity
An exciting new opportunity has come up at Boehringer Ingelheim for a **Head of Go-to-Market (GTM) and Commercial Operations **for the SAGEA (Saudi Arabia, Gulf countries and East Africa) region.
The job holder leads Commercial Operations and Go to Market strategy, projects, and execution excellence for respective functions in Human Pharma business including:
1. CRM/CVM/CEE/AIF: Marketing & Sales effectiveness, Business Intelligence
2. Digital Transformation and Excellence
3. Marketing and sales training
4. Commercial sales
5. Event management
This position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and reports to the General Manager/Head of Human Pharma SAGEA.
**Duties & responsibilities**:
**Customer Strategy Development**: Adapt and localize global/regional customer strategies and define local ones, ensuring alignment with IMETA ROPU center and executing with excellence.
**Customer Engagement Optimization**: Plan and execute marketing/promotional strategies for six customer groups, ensuring content delivery and customer inclusion in campaigns.
**Compliance Management**: Ensure all customer engagements and activities adhere to SOPs, legal, and compliance guidelines.
**GTM Process Management**: Ensure GTM platforms and processes are integrated into daily operations, delivering timely and quality GTM activities in line with value stream map, product life cycle, and ICP processes.
**Innovation Leadership**: Lead digital transformation and cross-functional collaboration, fostering confidence in an omni-channel ecosystem.
**Change Management**: Drive transformation of marketing and sales teams to future-ready CFRs/marketing teams.
**Event Management**: Oversee event management process flow, ensuring compliance for all types of events.
**Financial Sustainability**: Ensure commercial sales align with OPU net sales targets and patient access to the company’s portfolio.
**Commercial Sales Management**: Manage the commercial sales process workflow in the OPU from patient consumption to export sales.
**People Management**: Oversee team's performance reviews, objective setting, and developmental plans.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Post graduate degree or MBA in marketing is a plus
- Minimum of 5-10 years of business management experience diversely within Sales, Marketing, Training, Sales Force Effectiveness (at a management level) and/or Digital and Multichannel Engagement Excellence.
- Minimum 3-5 years of previous experience in leadership / team management positions and working within cross functional teams.
- Experience in Saudi Arabia and Gulf region is a plus.
- Thorough knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and practices
- Proficient in English and in the local language
