Riyadh, Saudi Arabia King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre Full time

Directs and manages the responsibility of overseeing, analyzing, as well as development, and implementation of the Hospital’s costing and pricing strategy, methodology, and other related systems in a timely manner in conjunction with a detailed financial calculation of the estimates in accordance with internal & external reporting requirements to ensure competitiveness and compliance with healthcare requirements to achieve performance standards.

**Essential Responsibilities and Duties**:
1. Responsible for general maintenance of cost accounting files and database including review of activity-based costing information and systems, service pricing, and profitability analysis at functional and service levels by continuous analysis of service margins and tracing of costs back to underlying activity.

2. Ensures compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures cost/price proposals developed, and quality standards, and Liaise with Internal and external stakeholders regarding accounting issues and respond to their comments and queries.

3. Reviews and determines the development of policies, procedures, manuals, processes, and systems associated with cost accounting best practices on a periodic basis, and develops and implements consistent standard cost accounting practices utilizing detailed departmental cost studies and identifying labor, supply, and overhead cost directly associated with individual departments.

4. Directs the implementation of the Charges Description Master (CDM) program across all clinical and medical areas of the Hospital in line with international standards. Develops tactics to ensure CDM is fully deployed, and all services are captured and flow through to bill generation. Develops and implements processes and systems to maintain the CDM across all hospital’s financial and clinical systems.

5. Maintains the CDM database and insures information is readily available to key stakeholders, and maintains robust control process for all changes made to the CDM including CPTs, Relative value units ( RVUs) cost and price, and communicates updates and changes in a timely manner to all relevant parties.

6. Associates professional and technical Current Procedural Technologies (CPT) coding and any other related coding based on best practice in accordance with International standards and international reporting requirements.

7. Manages, reviews, and analysis of profit margin reports, conducts research, and performs analytical studies with regard to cost performance of the hospit’sal prices and profitability by service and sector, and makes recommendations to the Hospital’s senior management team regarding the pricing policies to be adopted.

8. Monitors current market conditions and conducts market benchmarks accordingly proposes a Pricing model and costing assumptions adjustments as necessary, including providing direction and recommendation of pricing for new services.

9. Ensures accuracy and robustness of all supporting financial and non-financial information needed for decision-making.

10. Supports recommendations on best fitting service structures on an individual customer basis and assist in client conversations if needed.

11. Directs and oversees the reconciliations and maintenance of all internal control reports related to the cost accounting financial statements and enhances and transforms reporting using BI, data analytics, and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc)

12. Directs and Provides senior management team with accurate and timely information to facilitate key decision-making processes, execution of business strategy, and day-to-day support to internal stakeholders for managed care issues or questions, including an agreement.

**Education**:
Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline is required.

**Experience Required**:
Nine (9) years of related experience with Master’s, or elven (11) years with Bachelor’s Degree, including four (4) years in a senior/ supervisory capacity is required.

**Other Requirements(Certificates)**:

- Other professional accounting qualifications Certified, CPA, CMA, etc. preferred.
- Saudi National only.
