About the Role

MBC Group is seeking a highly skilled Program Manager to oversee new development initiatives for its TV platforms. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining project plans, evaluating resource availability, anticipating bottlenecks, and providing management escalation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Execution
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
    • Evaluate resource availability and identify potential bottlenecks to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Team Management and Coaching
    • Coach cross-functional team members in project management best practices, promoting a culture of excellence and collaboration.
    • Guide, lead, and escalate impediments blocking progress toward team goals, ensuring effective issue resolution.
  • Operational Risk Management
    • Anticipate operational risks and develop strategies for identification, tracking, assessment, and mitigation.
    • Work closely with business stakeholders and tech teams to address business concerns, launch projects, and track deliverables.
  • Business Partnership and Collaboration
    • Collaborate with business planning to undertake detailed cost-benefit analysis for prioritization and reprioritization of projects.

Requirements
  • Holder of a degree from a highly reputed University, preferably in Computer Science.
  • 8+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product delivery or a relevant domain area.
  • Fluency in AGILE project methodologies is a must.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale delivery teams.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with software or an online product is highly desired. Previous experience of delivering Video on Demand (VOD) related technology projects would be a distinct advantage.
  • Strong understanding of streaming media and related technologies such as digital rights management and content delivery networks.
  • Strong team player, able to develop strong working relationships and good organizational awareness.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently in a change-driven environment.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure.
