About the Role

MBC Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead content partnerships for its TV platforms business (MBCNOW & GOBX). The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the overall success of key partnerships, as defined by user engagement, financial results, and other health and growth metrics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Partnership Development
    • Investigate and propose future content partnerships strategies to drive business growth and user engagement.
    • Lead partnership discussions with various TV channels, OTT applications, and other subscription-based services.
  • Content Acquisition and Management
    • Select and launch new media content, communicate with partners, and work internally with Finance, Legal, Product, Technical, and Operational teams.
    • Drive communication, education, and data management across partners.
  • Performance Evaluation and Optimization
    • Evaluate new content partnership opportunities and performance of partner content using data, market research, and insights.
    • Create and present performance evaluations for partners, including comprehensive quarterly business reviews.
  • Internal Collaboration and Process Improvement
    • Develop internal partner playbooks that offer a concise overview of partnerships along with actionable strategic plans.
    • Build strong internal and external workflows to provide best-in-class service to partners.
  • Marketing and Editorial Strategies
    • Collaborate with content acquisition, content operations, editorial, and marketing on deal lifecycle to provide feedback and insights.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing and editorial strategies that maximize user engagement.
  • Business Intelligence and Analytics
    • Work with product and analytics teams to drive automation, enhanced reporting, and tools to improve the efficiency of content performance and measurement.
    • Develop and present strategic recommendations to senior leadership, providing insights and data-driven analysis.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in content acquisition and partnership management in a Pay-TV and/or OTT environment.
  • Arabic speaker with deep knowledge of content attractiveness and market trends.
