About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Business Development Director to join our team at General Dynamics Land Systems UK. As a key member of our Management Team, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of our business strategy and plan in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development plan to drive growth in existing and new markets in the Vopak Asia and Middle East (AME) division.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including mergers and acquisitions, and divestment projects in the AME division.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, competitors, and government-owned companies in the KSA market.
  • Develop and manage a network of internal and external stakeholders in the KSA market, representing Vopak's interests and aligning with our global strategy.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory environments and identify applicable subsidies and grants.
  • Lead the project development team, including relevant functions and external consultants, to support opportunity development.
  • Contribute to Vopak's global strategy and provide input on key business decisions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of successful project development and investment experience in infrastructure or oil and gas projects.
  • Familiarity with the KSA economy, including users, producers, consumers, opportunities, technologies, cost drivers, and key risks.
  • Familiarity with project management processes and fundamentals.
  • Track record of relevant professional experience working with and influencing large, interdisciplinary, and international teams.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with limited guidance.
  • Flexible mindset, able to challenge traditional thinking and work outside the comfort zone.
  • Strong business acumen, commercial creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
