Job Summary

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to drive growth and revenue for SOES. This role requires a strong understanding of the market, sales, and marketing strategies to develop and execute plans that meet or exceed sales targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, advertising, and other means of generating interest from potential clients.
  • Business Development Planning: Develop and execute business development plans to meet or exceed sales targets, including setting targets for sales, developing a rapport with new clients, and providing support to continually improve the relationship.
  • Account Management: Grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to clients, and working with mid and senior-level management, marketing, and technical staff to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges, and develop strategies to address them.
  • Team Management: Manage the activities of others responsible for developing business for the company, including providing training and mentoring to business developers and other internal staff.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate, and track and record activity on accounts to meet sales targets.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of sales or marketing experience, preferably in a business development role.
  • Skills: Strong networking, persuasion, and prospecting skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in business development and sales.
  • Strong understanding of sales and marketing strategies and tactics.
