Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team at Edge by Rotana. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their stay is memorable and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Guest Service: Provide prompt, courteous, and efficient service to all guests, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction through personalized service from arrival to departure.
  2. Room Assignments: Ensure guests are personally greeted by name, if known, and escorted to their room to make them feel expected and welcomed.
  3. Hotel Familiarization: Conduct in-room and hotel familiarization and assist guests with hotel activity enquiries/requests.
  4. Knowledge and Awareness: Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of hotel information and local services, including operating hours, promotions, events, attractions, and any allied information to respond to guest queries.
  5. Rate and Occupancy Awareness: Maintain an awareness of rate levels to be sold on a daily basis and the occupancy levels.
  6. Cashiering Standards: Accurately administer Front Desk cashiering standards and comply with all laid down systems, policies, and procedures.
  7. Account Administration: Process accounts from check-in to check-out, ensuring accurate postings of all incidental charges using computerized Front Office systems.
  8. Guest Confidentiality: Maintain the privacy of all guests by ensuring that no details of the guests are disclosed.
  9. Hotel Policies and Procedures: Demonstrate a complete understanding of the hotel's policies, procedures, and service standards and have full knowledge of the hotel facilities and happenings.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a degree in hospitality and previous experience in the Front Office Department within a hotel. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and knowledge in an additional language, along with strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities, are essential. Computer literacy and previous experience with Opera are an advantage.
