Senior SAS Commissioning Engineer

You will be part of Hitachi Energy Ltd's business team in Saudi Arabia, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective completion of all SAS commissioning activities in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety documents.
Key Responsibilities- Commissioning Management: Manage commissioning activities to ensure quality, timely delivery within targeted costs, and implement design changes in commissioning and produce as-built documentation.
- Process Improvement: Support the continuous improvement of project processes, product design, and system design, and manage the implementation of commissioning planning, improving the effectiveness of work plans in collaboration with other functions.
- Risk and Opportunity Assessment: Conduct risk and opportunity assessments during the commissioning phase to ensure the implementation of commissioning planning, identify and report potential risks related to HSE or quality, and recommend resolutions to management.
- Safety Observation: Conduct regular safety observation tours to report and mitigate potential HSE hazards.
- Customer Focus: Lead and coordinate commissioning activities focused on finalizing customer acceptance certification, interact with customers and clients for approval of test acceptance criteria, and close open issues.
- Project Meetings: Attend project meetings and present SAS aspects of commissioning.
- Team Development: Develop, coach, and provide technical guidance to colleagues in the SAS Commissioning team.
- Lessons Learned: Provide feedback to the organization to apply lessons learned processes.
- Standardization: Create standard commissioning processes and tools, ensuring that all commissioning activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements.

- A bachelor's degree in engineering in electrical, electronics, or computer science.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Hitachi Energy Ltd's Micro SCADA or other SAS SCADA systems and 5 to 6 years in SAS testing & commissioning experience in projects in Saudi Arabia, preferably with national grid SA.
- Knowledge in IEC61850-based System Engineering and experience on IEC101 and IEC104 protocols.
- Experience in network analyzer tools is preferred.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
