Job Summary:

The Telesales Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing a team of telesales agents who are responsible for selling insurance products over the phone. The role requires strong leadership, sales skills, and a deep understanding of the insurance products being offered.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead Generation and Prospecting:
  • Ensure the team is consistently reaching out to high-quality leads and prospects.
  • Work with the marketing team to generate and refine leads for the telesales team.
  • Track and analyze lead conversion rates to improve targeting and strategy.
2. Sales Strategy and Execution:
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase insurance policy sales over the phone.
  • Monitor performance metrics like conversion rates, call quality, and customer satisfaction to adjust tactics.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling insurance products to customers.
3. Team Management and Development:
  • Supervise and motivate a team of telesales agents to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Provide training, coaching, and ongoing support to the telesales team to enhance their product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service skills.
  • Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and ensure agents are following best practices.
4. Customer Relationship Management:
  • Ensure telesales agents are providing excellent customer service while selling products.
  • Address customer concerns, resolve issues, and build lasting relationships to foster repeat business.
5. Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:
  • Ensure all sales activities adhere to the Insurance Authority regulations and company policies, especially regarding data protection and ethical sales practices.
  • Monitor the quality of calls and ensure compliance with all legal requirements regarding insurance sales.
6. Reporting and Data Analysis:
  • Maintain detailed records of team performance, sales numbers, and customer interactions.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and provide insights to senior management about sales performance.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management to track sales goals, customer feedback, and team performance.
  • Work with other departments such as marketing, underwriting, and claims to ensure smooth processes and communication.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align sales goals with the company's overall objectives.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience:

5+ years of experience as a Telesales manager or in a similar role.

Technical and Behavioral skills:

  • Sales Experience: Previous experience in telesales, preferably within the insurance industry.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales agents.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with insurance products (e.g., life, medical, motor, general) and regulations.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills to interact with customers and manage the telesales team effectively.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze sales data, recognize patterns, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: A focus on providing value to the customer while meeting sales targets.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using CRM software, sales tracking systems, and other related tools.
