Job Title: Key Account Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Key Account Manager to join our team at Thales Group. As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for leading the identification, qualification, and booking of business opportunities in the Middle East Region, supporting the respective account teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand customer needs, expectations, and vision, and how Thales offers can support their business.
  • Monitor the performance of Thales' competitors with the customer.
  • Identify and define strategic initiatives in collaboration with the customer to generate growth beyond business as usual.
  • Work closely with account marketing for support on action plans, including growth opportunities, engagement plans, must-wins, and market segment content.

Account Management:

  • Share general interest information on the customer, including customer strategy and structure, customer needs, and budgets.
  • Orchestrate, align, and manage the account team on subjects such as tendering, project execution, technology portfolio, customer satisfaction, and supporting sales teams in closing opportunities.
  • Validate and promote the account plan at the executive level and facilitate the execution of the related action plan with countries and business units involved.
  • Drive the account team and account steering committee on customer satisfaction issues and support the development of customer satisfaction measuring in the account.

Customer Engagement:

  • Act as the single point of contact for the customer, representing Thales Group without overstepping the role of country Key Account Managers.
  • Maximize customer satisfaction by facing the executive level of the customer's organization and supporting civil accounts teams.
  • Set actions together with the customer to develop trust and loyalty between both organizations.
  • Develop group order intake in the short and medium term by managing customer intimacy.
  • Drive and secure strategic initiatives as defined in the account plan.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years' experience in strategic account management.
  • Proven experience in customer management and engagement.
  • Track record of leading diverse and senior blended teams of various backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of KSA business and political challenges and opportunities is a must.
  • Proven background in the aerospace, space, or security industry.
  • Commercial and project knowledge skills to manage project delivery issues and develop strategies on new business.

Preferred Skills:

  • Fluent English.
  • Knowledge of Arabic and French is desirable.
  • Extensive exposure to the customer industry.
  • Capable of driving results across virtual teams and able to represent Thales Group as a whole.
  • Organizational skills, ability in problem-solving and negotiation.
  • Ability to drive and define priorities.

  • Acts naturally as a team builder and is a good communicator.
  • Ability to convince, persuade, and negotiate, both internally and externally.
